COMPLETE STREETS & tRAILS MASTER PLAN
CS&T Project Tile
Groton’s 2022 Recreation Needs Assessment clearly showed the Town’s trails and pathways are among GPR's most used resources. In conducting the Assessment, residents told us that their top priority is increasing trail and pathway connectivity and waterfront access. Given this direction from the community, the Town launched a Complete Streets and Trails Master Plan project.
Participate in this process by taking an online survey, attending a public workshop and presentations.
You can visit our  Greater Groton page and using the mapping tool to show exactly what updates you want and where. Engage and advocate for what you'd like to see!
gO GROTON - NATURE EVERYWHERE!
Go Groton Project Tile
GO (Get Outdoors) Groton is a strong partnership between Groton Public Schools, the Town of Groton, and Groton Open Space Association- GOSA with a focus on collaboration to increase equitable outdoor access to school-age children. We were selected as 1 of 19 cities and towns nationwide to participate in the Nature Everywhere project through Children & Nature Network, National League of Cities and KABOOM! The team is eager to engage in a community assessment process that addresses childhood health and well-being, as well as climate resilience and environmental stewardship.
We are beginning to roll out community engagement opportunities and your first chance to engage is through our project on GreaterGroton.com. Learn about the project and contribute using the features available. The page will be updated regularly as the project advances.
